As of June 26:
  • 38 percent of respondents have a full-time job, career-oriented internship, or service program opportunity; up from 29 percent in 2011 and 33 percent in 2010.  
  • 33 percent of students have been admitted to graduate or professional school or post-baccalaureate study programs.

Action for Boston Community Development: Youth Services Specialist, Boston, MA PAID
The Youth Services Specialist will assist youth participants in the development of their Individual Service Strategy and completion of paperwork, work with youth participants to address portfolio assignments and provide feedback on academic skills, develop techniques for motivating participants to complete assignments, conduct orientations and arrange weekly thematic workshops for youth participants, maintain a weekly log to document youth progress, meet with the worksite supervisor to coordinate educational, career, and life skills goals and more administrative tasks.

SEA creates educational theater and arts programs specifically designed to examine, challenge and create possible solutions for current educational and social issues affecting our communities. One of the most extensive internships and a primordial focus for our company, Marketing/Public Relations Department will assist in all aspects of marketing, publicity, advertising, merchandising and community outreach initiatives used to promote our Theater and its shows.

Theater Production and Operations
Society of the Educational Arts, Inc (SEA): Production-Theater Tech Intern, New York, NY UNPAID
An Internship in Production is an opportunity to gain insight into the many aspects of the production process. Production interns will divide their time between work in the office and backstage at the theater (it is also possible for students to concentrate on one of these two areas according to individual preference).  Responsibilities can include: Assisting with maintenance of theatrical technical equipment, Assisting with load-ins and load-outs, Learning basic theatrical lighting design and technical skills with hands-on experience during special events.

Interns will work closely with the managing director and staff on projects such as: Company management activities surrounding productions at the theater, Distribution of the season's schedule of activities, Assisting with the planning and execution of special school performances, Being present at special school performances to assist coordinating admissions, Technology: database management for mailing lists, Customer Service: learning techniques for dealing with customer problems and researching industry service standards.
