Deadline Wednesday September 12th

United States Attorney's Office - Western District of New York

United States Attorneys are appointed by, and serve at the discretion of, the President of the United States, with advice and consent of the United States Senate. One United States Attorney is assigned to each of the judicial districts, with the exception of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, where a single United States Attorney serves in both districts. Each United States Attorney is the chief federal law enforcement officer of the United States within his or her particular jurisdiction. United States Attorneys conduct most of the trial work in which the United States Attorney is a party.
Student Trainee
The Student Trainee (Clerk) will provide general office clerical support to one or more professional, program, or technical staff members in the United States Attorney's Office.
*Produces a variety of written documents utilizing varied and advanced word processing software functions, working from handwritten draft, edited copy, or electronic files created by another staff member;
*Stores, retrieves and prints a variety of documents to include those requiring complex formats such as graphics or tables within text;
*Performs a variety of recordkeeping, reporting and informational duties;
*Answers telephone and refers callers to staff members or takes messages as appropriate;
*Makes recurring and special messenger trips as necessary.

Mary's Place Refugee Outreach Center
Mary's Place is an outreach ministry serving the refugee population of all faiths and nationalities primarily living in the Maplewood-Edgerton neighborhoods in Rochester, NY. We have served more than 300 families since our inception in 2009, providing them with clothing, counseling (bills, health, jobs, and nutrition), tutoring and light household goods and some food. Our goal is to help our refugee families driven from their homeland and way of life to find asense of hope and normalcy in our community.
Refugee Assistance Internships
We offer unpaid, competitive internship opportunities for students pursuing degrees in Social Work, Education, Anthropology, Sociology, Public Health and other disciplines. Students will report directly to the Director of Mary's Place and work closely with staff and other volunteers in running the Center's programs for refugee clients. Interns are asked to commit a minimum of 8 hours per week for a period of one semester. Depending upon institution, students pursuing internship credit are typically required to work 125 hours and to fulfill tasks as assigned by their faculty supervisor such as a field journal and final report.

Bilingual Tax Associate
The Bilingual Tax Associate will be responsible for performing tax-related tasks for a variety of clients and participate in a full spectrum of assignments and receive hands-on experience in a collegial environment. He/She will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and sustain excellent client relationships. Must be bilingual in English and Korean.
Bilingual Audit Associate
The Bilingual Audit Associate will be responsible for performing audit-related tasks for a variety of clients and assisting to ensure integrity and transparency of financial information, while identifying the key business issues affecting those results. He/She will also assist in identifying the operational risk factors for clients, and respond with a process-focused approach to help move them forward competitively. Must be bilingual in English and Korean.

Horticulture Specialist
The Horticulture Specialist serves as leader of horticultural services, in group and individual settings. Works to maximize a variety of individuals' skills, via gardening: social, communicational, intellectual, emotional, physical and behavioral. Promotes the well being of program participants and the protection of their individual rights, through the support of agency mission, vision and values. Oversees operation of Greenhouse, plans and coordinates year round horticultural plantings and activities.
