Our campus organizers work on three to six campaigns in a semester, including: passing clean energy legislation, increasing youth voter turnout in elections, and fighting hunger and homelessness in the local community. U.S. PIRG fellows get straight to work on a set of issues ranging from transportation reform, to protecting public health and consumers, to voting reform, to ensuring public dollars are spent wisely and more. Within just a few weeks, fellows start conducting research, making the case for solutions, acting as spokespeople to the media, building coalition support, lobbying decision-makers, and organizing the kind of political support we need to win real results.

Post-Bac Research and Outreach Intern
The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) is currently looking for a full-time Winter-Spring 2013 Intern. The internship will start in January and end in May. The intern will assist with a variety of research, outreach, and communications activities related to the U.S. economy and domestic policy. This may include outreach to the press, advocacy organizations and Congress, along with some research on upcoming papers and economic opinion pieces. Other tasks include communications duties such as generating website content and tracking CEPR’s appearances in the media. The responsibilities of interns vary based on their interests and experience, as well as the particular issues that CEPR is working on at the time. Interns will have the opportunity to attend relevant events around Washington, DC.

FAS Forensic & Dispute Services Associate - Audit Rotation Program (Full Time)
As a member of our FAS New Hire program, you will be part of a two-year rotational program which will provide you with a broad understanding of two practices within Deloitte, FAS and AERS. Within FAS, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from general litigation and arbitration, buy/sell disputes, forensic investigations, securities litigation, as well as other business dispute cases. During your rotation in AERS, you will develop an understanding of the Deloitte audit approach, methodology, and tools, while performing analytical review of audit documents. You will have the opportunity to identify accounting and auditing issues and design and perform tests of internal controls.
