Make a Difference. Become a NYC Teaching Fellow.
The NYC Teaching Fellows program recruits talented and dedicated graduates to raise student achievement in the New York City classrooms that need teachers the most. More than one in ten NYC public school teachers started their career through the NYC Teaching Fellows.

Who Can Apply?
No previous teaching experience or education coursework is necessary for participation in the program. Fellows enroll in an intensive summer training program and then earn a subsidized master's degree while teaching in a New York City public school.

How to Apply

The Fellowship is now accepting applications for the June 2013 program. Because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis it is advantageous to submit your application as soon as possible.  Our upcoming deadlines are December 3, December 20, January 7, and January 28. Candidates who submit their application by the December 3rd deadline will hear back about their status within two weeks and will have the opportunity to interview before the new year, if invited. As the industry confronts change at every level, the need for a forum capable of helping create a shared body of knowledge and information continues to grow.
Summer Fellowship Program - Post-graduate (Media Internships)
The Summer Fellowship Program, the most notable student out-reach effort of IRTS, teaches up-and-coming communicators the realities of the business world through an expense-paid fellowship, which includes practical experience and career-planning advice. Each year college juniors, seniors and graduate students are selected nationwide to participate in the nine-week Summer Fellowship Program.
