It's not too late to register for the CICs!

What is the CIC open forum?

From 9:30-11:30 there is an OPEN FORUM in ALL FOUR CITIES! This is a time for you to meet employers and network the room. Why bother, you ask?

  • Several employers at each event will be building their interview schedules purely from the students they meet in person that day!
  • At EACH event an average of 20-40 additional interviews are added to employer's schedules during the open forum.
  • Employers have already indicated it's been very hard for them to pick only 8 students per schedule! They're still interested in you, and this a great way to get some “face time” and get YOUR resume into their hands! Having a face to associate with a name, and even better a few minutes of conversation about their company, will make you that much more memorable

Check out which companies are attending and register at:

Why Should I Register?

During the holidays, updated information about new employers and event details will only be sent out to registrants. So for the most up to date information, registration only takes a few minutes, and lets you view employer profiles, job postings and much more.

CIC prep session this Thursday and next Tuesday

Join Associate Director Amber Graham for a jam-packed session of CIC tips! We’ll cover how to work the open forum (including developing your personal 30 second commercial), how to score interviews, how to manage interviewing in a large busy space, and some general interview tips! (Held in the Career Center Conference Room 12/3 at 1 p.m. & 12/18 at 2 p.m.)

Dress for Success

Business Attire means wear a SUIT. A real one! Our standard disclaimer is “if you feel you look old, you're dressed right.” Conservative is the way to go! If you're concerned about your outfit, or have any questions, stop by and speak to a counselor.

Be Prepared

Make sure to create a hit list of companies you want to talk to, and do your research ahead of time! If you get an interview, you won’t have time during the event to go do research on the spot, so be prepared with information, questions to ask, and your best interview attire!

Once you are registered, from the home page you can view each event and the employers listed. Also if an employer has submitted a job posting you can do “One-Click Search” by each CIC event!
