We are looking for dedicated, motivated individuals who want to have a fun, but challenging, summer, while making a difference in the lives of some of New York's neediest children. As a member of the waterfront staff, you will be responsible for supervising all instructional and free swim periods for the campers at one of our five camps. You will also be responsible for maintaining waterfront and boating facilities in order to comply with all safety codes. As a Waterfront Director, you will organize and direct all swimming activities for campers, and will also be responsible for supervising and training the waterfront staff in water safety and swimming instruction activities.

New York State Homes of Community Renewal: Diversity Internship Program, New York NY PAID
Recognizing that internships are often the foundation of informed career choices, the Diversity Internship Program was established in 1990. Today, with the co-sponsorship of J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Samuel A. Ramirez & Co., Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities, these internships provide an established point of entry into the business of public finance. Beginning in July of each year, up to four interns are selected for the year-long program which includes two six-month terms. One term is spent working at the New York State Homes and Community Renewal on single-family and multifamily debt issuance, real estate finance, and mortgage insurance issues. Interns will work with the business team to develop new features, business plans and strategies for technology-related businesses, while serving on the engineering team during implementation. Interns will also play leading roles in the launch of new start-up companies, and will gain exposure to the entire process of developing a technology idea into a prototype and then ultimately into a company.

The Interns will work on projects related to BMS biologics products, focusing on the purification process for the clinical and/or commercial manufacturing of protein therapeutic products to include one of the following assignments: Summarize previous technical transfer documentation to create a platform for buffer preparation development, filtration development and column packing operations. KLA-Tencor Corporation: Technical Marketing Summer Internship, Milpitas, CA PAID
KLA-Tencor receives directly from customers information regarding their current and future needs in the form of (Request for Quotation) RFQ and (Special Test Request) STR documents. KLA-Tencor responds to these requests stating what can be achieved with the current product offerings or what might be achievable with current products in development. These requirement and specification documents are stored in various locations. They are not easily analyzed for market trends. This intern project will bring all this data together in an organized database such that it can be analyzed for market trends. The data will then be compared to our current road map to identify business opportunities that should be investigated.

The Juilliard School sponsors a Professional Intern Program in technical theater and arts administration. It is a practical "hands-on" experience working directly with technicians and administrators in their respective fields. Technical Theater internships are offered in Costumes, Electrics, Props, Scene Painting, Stage Management, and Wigs and Makeup. Administrative internships are offered in the Drama Division, Orchestra Management, Special Projects and Vocal Arts.

Kennedy Krieger Institute (KKI): Dr. James A Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, Baltimore, MD
The Dr. James A. Ferguson Emerging Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program is a CDC funded 9-week summer program providing educational and professional development opportunities for students from underrepresented populations and those interested in addressing health disparities related to infectious diseases. The program begins May, with an orientation at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland (Students assigned to CDC will have their CDC orientation in Atlanta on Thursday and Friday of the first week.)  During the remaining eight weeks of the program, students receive mentored research and professional development experiences at the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia or in Baltimore, Maryland at Kennedy Krieger Institute, Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Bloomberg School of Public Health, or the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Deadline 2/14

The Dannon Company is pleased to announce that applications for the second Dannon Yogurt and Probiotics Fellowship Program are currently being accepted. University of Rochester Medical Center- Department of Public Health Sciences: Research Intern, Rochester, NY UNPAID
Summer intern needed in the Department of Public Health Sciences to help with research subject recruitment, development of recruitment materials (flyers, emails, etc), database management, and subject data collection on a large federally funded research study aimed at studying the effectiveness of a Web-Assisted Tobacco Intervention (WATI) to help Community College students quit smoking. Legal Outreach is seeking interns to perform general administrative and educational tasks for the organization during the month of June and to provide direct assistance to law students who are coordinating the Summer Law Institute for eighth grade students participating in a five-week Summer Law Institute (SLI) at Columbia, Brooklyn, NYU, New York, Fordham or St. John's Law Schools. The final week of the internship is spent wrapping up the program and communicating its success to others.
