Hundreds of University of Rochester students participated in our winter break Career and Internship Connections. These off-campus career fairs in Boston, NYC, DC and Los Angeles are led by the Gwen M. “What I try to do is present them with some tasks that are related to the larger studies in the lab and also a side project that they can complete independently. This way students can leave the lab and feel like they have accomplished something of their own.”
This series brings alumni from all fields onto campus to connect with students for networking opportunities and to show students the diverse career paths UR graduates have taken. If you are in touch with an alum who might be willing to participate, live or via Skype, email Michelle Marks-Hook.
Our fabulous alumni have answered our call to help current students get a taste of their fields of interest. From day-long job shadows to summer-long internships and full-time jobs, our alumni have responded with more than 1,000 opportunities! Please encourage students to check them out.
From "Freshman and Sophomore Getting Started Q & A" and "What Can I Do WIth This Major" to "Health Professions Careers" and "Interviewing Basics" we have a seminar for all of your students. See our schedule online.
