Gwen M. Greene Career & Internship Center Winter 2013 Clarion

The Clarion

UR Students Succeed at Off-Campus Events

Hundreds of University of Rochester students participated in our winter break Career and Internship Connections. These off-campus career fairs in Boston, NYC, DC and Los Angeles are led by the Gwen M. Greene Career and Internship Center staff and include hundreds of employers and students from 17 consortium schools. UR Students earned more interviews than students from any other school.

Focus on Faculty Working with Students:

Laura Silverman

Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurodevelopmental & Behavioral Pediatrics

“What I try to do is present them with some tasks that are related to the larger studies in the lab and also a side project that they can complete independently.  This way students can leave the lab and feel like they have accomplished something of their own.”

Food For Thought Career Conversations With Alumni

This series brings alumni from all fields onto campus to connect with students for networking opportunities and to show students the diverse career paths UR graduates have taken. If you are in touch with an alum who might be willing to participate, live or via Skype, email Michelle Marks-Hook.
