Thursday November 7th

University of Rochester, Mt. Hope Family Center – Rochester, NY
Mount Hope Family Center combines scientific research, clinical services and hands-on mentoring in one facility. By working closely together, we’re developing and providing more effective therapies while improving research in human development, maternal depression, child neglect, and abuse.
Inspiring Possibilities for Teens (IPT) Research Assistant
Mt. Hope Family Center’s Inspiring Possibilities for Teens (IPT) project is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented intern, interested in learning and experiencing research in a clinical setting. IPT is a five-year grant funded by the National Institute of Mental Health examining different therapies designed to alleviate symptoms of depression in adolescent girls. The project serves low income ethnically and culturally diverse teens between the ages of 13-15. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to two days a week, 3-4 hours per day in the afternoon for two semesters, which could include the summer.

Friday November 8th

United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand – Rochester, NY
Senator Gillibrand's number one priority is to rebuild the American economy, by creating good-paying jobs, helping small businesses get loans, and partnering with the private sector to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.
Political Internship – Rochester Office
Throughout the winter/spring, interns in Senator Gillibrand's Rochester office will be responsible for a number of routine clerical tasks, including answering the phones and speaking with constituents, processing constituent mail, and clipping local and regional newspapers for regionally significant news as well as coverage of the Senator and her work. Additional duties, such as writing letters and attending events, will be asked of interns as needed.
