AL SIGL COMMUNITY OF AGENCIES ROCHESTER, NY  Director of Special Events 2011 – present    Worked closely with the Vice President of the Foundation. Successfully ran a minimum of three events per year from top to bottom (sponsorships, in-kind donations, logistics, etc.): Al Sigl Sports Classic, Fine Tastings for Al Sigl Community and the Al Sigl Community WalkAbout. Worked extensively with volunteer committees to collectively net over $200,000 in 2011. Successfully managed relationships with volunteers, clients, staff and donors from not only Al Sigl Community, but all six of the Member Agencies and several of the Tenant Agencies of the community. Developed and organized the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Community. Implemented and organized the first ever ROC the Day Campaign for Al Sigl. Managed annual volunteer efforts like Day of Caring and Wilson Days. Maintained Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media efforts. Worked closely with the Vice President of Marketing to ensure efficient communication with all stakeholders. Instituted the use of Crowdrise and Constant Contact. Created a new Mask Gallery component of the annual WalkAbout that brought on over twenty new sponsors. Accepted challenges brought on by a decrease in staff power to see the agency through a tough time. Instilled fresh energy to events by engaging a good mix of new and seasoned volunteers.  Mastered the art of saying thank you.

The full offering of services we make possible has helped children and adults with disabilities® and special needs to realize a better standard of living for a half century.    And we’re still going strong.  Founded in 1962 as one building, the Al Sigl Community has grown to be six campuses wide. Today we are proud to serve a dynamic of key care and rehabilitative channels in communities throughout Monroe County. Everything we do stands on the idea that the combined power of many generates greater power together.  Member Agencies; CP Rochester, Epilepsy Foundation of Roch-Syr-Bing, Medical Motor Service, National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Upstate New York Chapter), Rochester Hearing & Speech Center, Rochester Rehabilitation Affiliates, Mary Cariola Children’s Center, The Arc of Monroe County, Joint Venture Center Information Services, Center Properties of Rochester, Future Care Planning Services, Howitt House.
