The Financial Women’s Association (www.fwa.org) offers a supplemental program for additional training and development for students who have a summer internship. The FWA is a selectively exclusive organization (unrelated to Bank of America Merrill Lynch) which is comprised of leading women and supportive men across the financial industry. The FWA promotes, educates and advocates for women in the industry.
The Financial Women’s Association is now accepting applications from young women and men for its 2014 Wall Street Exchange (WSE) Professional Development and Leadership Program.
WSE is not an internship opportunity. It is a career development program designed to augment and coincide with the summer internship work experience of select qualified students who are between their junior and senior years of college and who are employed in the New York metropolitan area. Program events take place one evening a week for nine weeks during mid-June through early-August.
Interested students should apply to the program as early as possible and not wait until they have finalized their summer employment or internship plans. Proof of internship can be provided prior to the start of the program which is targeted for the week of June 9, 2014. Applications are due Monday, May 12. There is no cost to students to apply or participate in WSE.
