Manager, Refugee Young Adults
Provides intensive case management for newly-arrived refugee clients who are identified for the Refugee Young Adult (RYA) Program. Provides ancillary support ensuring that RYA participants received specialized assessment, planning, referral and services available through the RYA program and its community partners. Conducts specialized intakes and assessments and develops, implements and monitors individualized service plans for education, employment and training. Provides direct individualized services and also group activities built around acculturation and development of independent living skills.
Intake Coordinator
Administers all aspects of the client intake process. Assess clients’ eligibility for refugee employment services and maintains accurate records of assessments and eligibility status. Receive referrals from Case Managers and clients who are interested in enrolling in the program; schedule interpreters when necessary. Schedule intake appointments and make reminder phone calls to clients and interpreters. Conduct a thorough intake on clients, retrieving all information necessary for applications and any additional information needed for Job Counselors.
Kinship Specialist
Provides intergenerational family intake, assessment, information, consultation and referral, clerical support, data collection, analysis, backup for program supervisor, and reporting for the NYS Kinship Navigator Program. Provides intake, assessment and consultation to kinship caregivers. Responds to consumer calls and requests for information using knowledge of resources available to kinship caregivers across New York State. Identifies request requiring immediate assistance (i.e. safety issues or emergent basic needs such as food, shelter or medical care).
Mental Health Clinician
Documents assessment data obtained from interviews and observations of the patient; Formulates a comprehensive treatment plan integrating initial assessment data that is appropriate to the chronological and developmental mental age of patients; Engages in therapeutic relationships that focus on patient's needs and provides a structured process for patient to reach the objectives outlined in the treatment plan; Revises interventions based on patient's response.
