Why become a Peer Career Advisor?
You can provide valuable assistance to peers in articulating and attaining their internship and career goals
Learn to critique resumes and cover letters
Gain in-depth career related knowledge and skills to enhance your own chances of finding jobs and internships
Improve your communication and leadership abilities
Provide career related assistance to students who come to the Career Center on a walk-in basis
Assist students in creating resumes, cover letters and networking notes, using online and printed resources, and accessing information on upcoming events and seminars
Participate in various events sponsored by the Career & Internship Center
Work with Career Center staff to develop new ways to increase use of our office's programs and resources
If interested in becoming a Peer Career Advisor, please complete this application and return it and your resume to the Career Center (located at 4-200 Dewey Hall) or by email to email@example.com by Sunday April 13th. We are looking for students to be available to begin unpaid training in the Fall 2014 and then start paid work each semester thereafter and must be available for 5-10 hours per week. Work-study eligibility is encouraged, but not required.
