The People First Initiative will be hosting a panel of Rochester professionals with careers in supporting individuals with disabilities. Panelist will include individuals from the University of Rochester Medical Center as well as other local Rochester disability service providers. The session will consist of a brief overview of each participating profession, as well as time for an interactive Q&A session with the panelists.
Loisa Bennetto - Chair of Psychology department currently conducting research in neurocognitive and communication deficits in autism and other developmental disabilities.

Lisa Sykes - Pediatric Occupational Therapist at URMC
JoAnn Genthner - Executive Principal at BOCES
The members of the People First Initiative highly encourage anyone considering a profession in the disability services to attend, as well as anyone pursuing health or education as these are fields that often work closely with disability service providers, and it is extremely beneficial to understand the associated fields to work best with them.
The People First Initiative is an awareness group at the University of Rochester dedicated to creating and fostering inclusion of individuals with disabilities on a social front.
